COMING SOON:
Auditions for Backlot's first performance in our 2009-2010
season:
Auditions for Our Town will be held on Monday,
July 6th starting at 7 PM at the Rose Theater and Tuesday July 7th,
starting at 7 PM at Forsyth Presbyterian Church on Jackson Street (around the corner from the Rose) .
No prior preparation is required. Scripts will be provided for read-throughs.
There will be no musical auditions.
We need 17 men, 11 women, and several extras.

The Backlot Band was co-founded in May
2007 by Scott McCook & Terry McClellan. Most of the band members are members of the Backlot Players and their
home is The Rose
Theater in Forsyth, Ga. Variations of the Backlot Band provide live
music for the plays as needed. The band presented the "Bluegrass to Blues" concert and
teamed up with the "Rose Review" for two concerts to benefit The Rose
Theater. The band has performed at benefits for Relay for Life

The Backlot Players, Inc. is a not-for-profit community theater housed in the historic Rose Theater on
the square in Forsyth, GA.
We have recently completed Phase II of our renovation to the Rose Theater and now have comfortable,
stadium seating thanks to all of our members and supporters!

Our mission is to provide Forsyth and the surrounding areas with quality theater programs.

Becoming a Member
To join The Backlot Players, you may purchase a $10 Annual Membership which entitles you to full voting privileges in
the organization. Season tickets are available for $40 and include 4 shows. The Backlot Players hold business meetings
on the first Tuesday of each month at The Rose Theater at 7:00pm. We encourage new members to attend and get involved.
Many opportunities are available to use a wide variety of talents, from being on-stage to working behind the scenes creating
sets and making costumes or managing fundraising efforts. There is a job for everyone!
